righto, maybe im not good at maths, from what i gathered from sheldons post were that the subs were, like u said just free air, no box,

yeah sorry guys, i should've stated it better, but the subs are in boxes that are then facing up through the port holes.  ;)

well after reading trhis post i faced myne like Barnett and found a bit more bass ill probably experiment a bit more but for now its smick cheers Barnett for inspiring further bass hehe

 8) Hi guys I have a 12 inch GT4-12 JBL sub facing upwards and two 12 inch Alpine Type R's facing out of the boot at 45 degrees (All three in a sealed enclosure) I absolutely love this setup especially for my DIY jobby.  ;D Heres some pics, though not up to date.

maybe an idea for a group buy, custom fitted sub boxes for the side of the boot for the ka24. only problem would be people need different sized holes...

its not that hard to make, get a mould made with fibreglass, and just cut the hole to fit the sub, theres not a hell of a lot of space there so box size for 10in - 12in wouldn't make all that much difference

True, but the box volumes needed for the different subs would be a biatch, not to mention the fact that some people would want sealed, some would want ported etc etc.
