No spark to my coils
« on: Jun 7, 2009, 04:53PM »
Hey guys my pinny died on me last week with a stutterin finish and was getting no revs at all and then the acceleration failed and i sat and idled for a bit then stopped. Every time i tried to start the car and give it some gas it would back fire very loud and just die again. So i checked ova my car and found i have no spark going to my coils not sure if thats the problem or not so what would i do or what would it be if i were getting no spark to my coils?

try changing the power transistor (mounted on the bottom of the coil bracket) with a known good one. they rarely go, but are the sole component that triggers the coil to discharge to the plugs.
