I bought this car awhile ago from my mate to use as my daily driver (I drive 65km each way to work and don't want to put too many kms on my XR6 Turbo) and I'm now looking to upgrade to something newer so it's up for sale.
White 94 U13 Bluebird LX auto 193 000km
The good:
Engine runs well and is not tired and feels more powerful than the first U13 Bluebird I owned back 7 years ago
Auto gearbox is excellent and doesn't slip or have any problems
Interior is in decent condition
Has a Kenwood cd player/head unit
Suspension is good
Brakes are good
The bad:
Not going to win any show room awards, there is a dent in the front side quarter panel from where my mate hit a pole when swinging it out of a parking space, also a small dent/scrape on the rear bumper and a small one on the side of the front bumper. Otherwise, it looks okay.
The drivers door lock has been screwdrivered but my mate fashioned up a key which unlocks it without any problems. The lock itself doesn't look broken though.
The air con only works on max speed - the other speeds do not turn on. Common U13 problem where a resistor or something burns out. Search these forums for a fix.
What needs to be fixed for RWC:
One of the engine mounts has cracked completely so there is vibration through the body of the car.
Four new tyres (these tyres are nearly not legal)
Not a RWC requirement but it could use a wheel alignment too.
It also could use a service, depending on the price, I may be happy to do a service on it for you.
It also needs a good wash and clean inside and out.
Is there any interest? It is registered but will be sold without RWC and rego plates.
$1800 negotiable, buy a new engine mount and tyres and this is a cheap way into a U13.
