help with 89 stanza
« on: May 23, 2008, 01:58PM »
hey guys i just got a 89 stanza, practically new never winter driven, only 100 000k on her. i was just wondering what are my options for performance tuning her since she is very heavy with not alot of power, ive been scouring the internet and have found nothing, no turbos, no extractors, no intakes, nothing. I may be just looking horribly wrong since i am very new to this, as this is my first car. so yeah anything would be great thnx.

piss off the ca, drop something with alot more torque in, cough ka!, but even the ka stock won't pull the wrinkles out of your dick..

the main bandwagon is sr20det conversion

if you cant afford an engine swap, a few little things will get a bit more power out of your car.. larger exhaust (say 2.25"), cold air intake, agressive cam, shave the head for higher compression stuff like that.

or you could probably convert it to turbo, but the ca20 is fairly weak under boost, so low boost would be important (sorry cant think of a better word lol) but you can fit a manifold from a ca18et (not DET) or from a z18et. do it properly with an intercooler, larger exhaust and some aftermarket management and you should be pretty sweet.
