Probably a noob question...
« on: Nov 28, 2010, 03:36AM »
So yes,  firstly thanks for checking out this post, so I own a 1991 Stanza or U12  with a KA24E 92'000Km original etc etc stock...

My question, I know there is a LOT of KA24 turbo kit / intercooler. But since those kit are mainly for 240sx with the KA24DE SIDEWAYS (manifold Vertical to the chassis)

Will those kits are going to fit on a U12 with KA24 with the manifold facing straight and headers horizontaly to the chassis (you know, the stock form)

Thank you for your answer! :P

Oh and btw I searched on the Wiki and found nothing ...
Also I won't swap to a SR20DET since the KA24 is in mint shape  ;D

Nothing from a DE will fit an E as far as manifolds for turbo kits are concerned.

adam, i think he's enquiring about the turbo kits from the 240sx (which also came in E's)

warracer, to answer your question: no they wont fit without MAJOR modifications and a completely new manifold.

Okay well , thanks for you fast response!,

Also, is there any way tu put a turbo in a KA24E (i was thinking about 9psi)

Oh and, some people over the nissan forum were saying that "turboing'' a KA24E is plain stupid because it is SOHC while ''Turbooing'' a KA24DE was better,DOHC.
What do you guys think?

P.S: I saw chip on your forum, are those still available?? for a U12 KA24E Auto , and what about the camshaft? are they still available because garage411 is dead...  :-[

Anyways, I got so many question, sorry to bother you with that!

Charles S,

turbo'd ka24e's have been done before in FWD configuration.
A few members from the forum (whom's names elude me) have done it.
It is a full custom job though...

check out bungs old trx from a few years back:

I think whoever said that is an ignorant douchebag.

I'm in the uber slow process of building a KA24ET for circuit racing with a reliable 400hp. It won't have anything exotic in it to make that sort of power either except for strong internals.

9psi will be OK on a stock motor as long as your tune is spot on and you aren't getting any knocking.

Well I only wants 250HP MAX , because for my project which is a FWD rally car (snow) , 250HP is way enough because when you go over that in snow, wheel spin, then loss of traction then crash  ;D

250hp is perfect for my needs!

Oh and btw do you guys know were I can get the Chip (I see the banner but its dead) and the Camshaft????;)
That would be greatly apreciated!

THank you very much!

From Canada :D
