To drain the radiator coolant you open a drain c o c k in the bottom of the radiator. It's made out of plastic and is a pretty piddly little thing. Anyway mine snapped when I tried to open it. Just too old I guess. It cost me $10 to replace but was a major pain in the a$$ because my car had to sit overnight in the garage with no coolant in it, which is bad for the whole cooling system.
