Car cancer.
« on: Mar 5, 2013, 07:42PM »
So with all the rain and moisture around lately and my car not getting started, I've started developing slight surface rust on items under my hood.

Hose clamps, the base flange for my headers, bottom coolant pipe,

But most importantly on top of my pillow ball top mounts for my coilovers and threaded section of my FPR, what can I use to get rid of it/prevent more from occurring?

I think I've been told some WD40 ?

INOX is some pretty mint shit.

Won't stop it rusting so much, it's just an anti-sieze. Damn good though, use it at work.. Realesd a old boat trailor winch with it, with over 3 years of chillen..

Anyway, that's my life story

There is a rust treatment you can get, not sure on the name, I'll have a look in the shed and see if I can find a tin of it. It's basically like an oil to keep the moisture out.
