Intercooler and piping
« on: Jan 11, 2013, 02:50PM »
Hi all, I'm waiting for my new intercooler and piping to arrive. I need pictures of anyone who has already made this so I can have an idea how it's going to look like and if any modification needs to be done.  8)

Thank you.

No off the shelf kit will fit a hnu12, especially if you have abs.

Not if the car has ABS, which mendezcr's HNU12 does...

Any kit from any N14 would need modifications to fit

This should help clear up the differences.

Found this GTiR fmic install guide which is interesting. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-2dlWoMXLUSNTMwMTVmYzYtZGU1OC00ODFkLWJmNmEtZDQxODVkZjE4ODhi/preview?hl=en

I would think you could make a GTiR kit work on a HNU13 as it doesn't have the abs in the way but with the standard front mount pipes already in place, why bother?

Thank you all for the feedback, I actually bought a Nissan Stanza piping kit, it has the same dimensions as the bluebird and also the Stanza use ABS as Budgie says. The kit say with no modification. 2.5 piping , intercooler size inlet and outlet can't recall at the moment, I'll take a look at the order :p  . Any how if the battery and ABS give me  issues well I will send the battery to the back and ABS well it will disappear  8) , thank you xedus101 for the pics, do you have anymore like how it will look like? Like a picture from the front of the car and left/right side of the engine to see If I need other modification in case the Stanza won't fit.. I got the kit from the US thru a store of a friends of mine MOTORWORX  based in Costa Rica...

If the battery should be send to the back? ABS should go? I can't find no pictures of anyone with that set up... Thxs guys!!
