what is the prefferred size for a set of aftermarket rims and low profile tyre on the TRX?

And, if a set of lowered King coils go on the front, what are the sizes (diameter and width) that would fit without risking panel damage?!
Old guy who should know better than to mess around with old cars.

my buddy clubs were 17x7 with a +43 offset. they were fine with 215/40 tyres, but if i ran 205/45 they would scrub. in the end though i lowered the car so much i had to roll the guards anyway.
