Title: Will stock u13 struts fit in my corsair?
Post by: Burchh on Sep 8, 2012, 08:45PM
Hey guys,

I've been looking around the site for a while and a lot of people have said that u13 coilovers will fit a u12 and that their springs are similar.
I was just wondering if stock shocks out of a u13 would fit in a u12? I've heard they sit lower stock than a u12 so I thought this might be a cheap way to lower it without punching a hole in my strut tower :P

It might sound stupid, but I've never looked at a u13 setup so I really don't know if it is even remotely possible. Just thought I'd ask and see if anyone has tried it, or knows anything.

Yes, u13 struts fit in the u12s. They are shorter so it doesn't fuck your control Arm geometry, to run these you will need u13 springs, the plate that goes ontop and than the u12 strut top hats. I'm running these myself.

Awesome! Thanks for that.
When you say plate, are you referring to the plate that sits on top of the strut but underneath the strut tower? (on the wheel arch side)

Do you know how much shorter they are in general? I'm guessing they're a bit stiffer too.
Gotta go hunt down some struts now ;)
