Rear struts: im stuck :'(
« on: Jan 19, 2007, 03:42PM »
ok what im doing is replacing my rear struts the bit im stuck on is how do i take off the handbrake cable off the drum brake.
I have tried to loosen the locking nut that holds the insert down while i have the hand brake cable and hydraulic hose still attached to the drum brake. But its a bit hard to manevure it around and i dont wanna do something i prolly shouldnt. And im using an 18" shifter to undo the locking nut.

So how do ya think i can come around this problem?

Dont take the handbrake cable off the caliper.

Here is a perfect guide to changing your rear struts.
