Possible Newsletter
« on: Jan 6, 2004, 12:35PM »
Hello all.

I was sitting here pondering on a newsletter.
i know this idea has come up before and all, but i do believe that it could be quite sucessful.

i've heard of people starting small and then ending up getting magazine's published and stuff.

My idea is simply to do a double sided newsletter about anything that anyone wishes to have on it. eg, a feature car a month, reliable local businesses writting a paragraph on their company and how they operate, latest movies, some good bargains in local newspapers, well you get the idea.

I'd be willing to start this newsletter if anyone would like it, the only catch would be sending me a self adressed stamped envelope so i can send it back to you.

Let me know and i will see what i can do

Whatabout an e-newsletter or something, like emailed. Is that a possibility?

i'm sure that would be no problem and someone would be more than happy to help distribute it electronically.

yeah, an e-newsletter would be good, i am thinking it could be maybe a wrap of the previous month on the forums, such as cruises and dyno days, good tips and faqs etc etc... i know, for example, i dont really bother reading the other state's forums (no offence guys! :)) but a monthly quick summary would be good. brings about a better sense of community.

why not a quarterly e-newsletter and see how it goes from there cause in my opinion not enough happens on here to fill a monthly newsletter and we might have to end up reading about how Noss pee'd on himself :P :P :P :P

i am all for the idea though it could turn out quite good

Before we jump the gun here.. why dont we have a general query/ideas that people would like to see in the newsletter... then everyone will be happy... because some people wont appreciate the work that has gone into something like this...

i'm sure nothing is being jumped into here.. things have to go thru a conceptual phase first.. this what this is.

Well lets get some ideas happening.....

feature car as 84pingal said would be tops... also along with the feature should be, like a 60 seconds with sterlo sort of thing so all antrx enthusiast can get to know each other better...

thats all i can think of at the moment

for the non qld'rs and nsw'aliens sterlo is peter sterling, ex. rugby league player for paramatta. he is on the rugby league footy show and well, 60 seconds with sterlo, well thats quite obvious.

I've never seen that... can someone explain the concept behind the 60 seconds? What happens in that minute? *lol*

Maybe something like a featured tech article? i.e. How to change your headlight bulbs or something *shrugs* not feeling creative today but you know what I mean... start with the basics....

Line up 4-5 buckets of water, and 1 with car wash in it, wash the car then throw all the buckets of water over it, saves you running back to the tap
