man, you gotta give a better explanation of your problem.

what car?
what h/u was in there before?
how was the old unit held in there?

because usually all cd players are made to just screw into original mounts...not rocket science. but with installs i have done before its just easier to bend up some mounts up out of tin and screw them in there, if the original mounts arn't going to work for you. easy as that.

If it's in a U12, slide and screw the unit into the factory bracket.

If it's in a U13, screw the factory brackets to the sides of the unit.

If it's something else let us know and we may be able to help.

So you got the car without a head unit in it?

Easiest way of mounting would be to go to the wreckers and get a head unit bracket off a U12, then slide the new head unit into that and secure it with a couple of screws.

5 to 10 dollars. If you pull it out yourself keep all the screws.

Or you can get an aftermarket one which slides around the head unit and just slide it in, it all clicks, i have a few spare (god only knows why), if you're in Melbourne you can have one, otherwise its like 5 bucks, or ask a mate who's head unit screwed into the factory mounts (like a U13) and they should have kept their "sleeve"

The hole is much bigger than the cradle (aka sleevey-thing) so the cradle would slide right through the hole.

And the bracket is huge Sticky, you wouldn't be able to get it past them  :)

Fuck em they would have paid fuck all for the car anyway and would have made 1000% off the car by selling the engine and gearbox.

You need to take the whole door trim off. The speaker covers are screwed on from behind.
