 Smiley  Hi all...

This may get a bite from some...
And up front if your not a rev head , boy racer, spanner head, street cruiser, show and shine, mod pintara person...none of these figures will be reachable or real to you !

when i had my nissan ti going...i was cranky as hell when i could not achieve these figures..i had a 2.4 and mate up the road a 2.0 and we used to travel the same route everyday nearly...and mu 2.4 would suck fuel like no tomorrow..no matter how nice i drove it...and this dam 2.0litre used to get flogged too and it would achieve !
What made m mad was the fact a fellow mate had a 2.4 ti and would get the kms..even reving it and speeding..
So i knew it was my lemon ti...
i tried tuning
i tried reading the books
i tried a hyclone  which helped but not to figures..
i had a ti ..and it was 2.4 auto... and it did at best open roads..10-11/100 ...and hammer it and it get worse..
driving around town...it such big time too..
howver when i done with my project t  and ti will be to get them to PROFORM...

2.0litres  mans get about   6.6l/100kms hwy and  9l/100kms city
2.0        auto                  7/100                       10/100

2.4     mans  get about    6.6/100 hwy   and    10/100 city
2.4     auto                    7.2/100                   11/100

Now i been in both 2.0 and 2.4 that achieved these results...
conditions ...
the car reg serviced and tyre pressure correct
the car driven very quietly , no super revs...sitting on speed limits, no accessives to overtake, gentle take offs, air con on...2 people in the car....min...
now just to place litres /kms in terms people like...
6.5 is about 43mpg... and you get 900kms
10 is about 28mpg... and you get 600kms

500kms a tank people your doing 12/100
550km                                     11/100

anyone not getting 500kms from a tank has car and driving style issues..
i would say...as a cut off...

Smiley whats your consumption Smiley

Smiley yes...thanks..

the first is about how kms or miles from the running gear on u12 pintara..etc..

a good read and should be connected in the sense that condition of the running gear effects consumption...
use under conditions...
and age and wear and tear of the running gear...

thanks for the corrected post...link...guys...

7.5litres to 100km consistently in my U13 SSS, at least one redline thrash every day, 70% highway 30% city stop start.

Auto always gets a bit more than manual.
Just be glad you didnt buy a Jeep (or other small 4wd)...  My wifes Patriot gets about 11 Lt/ 100km. CVT gearbox and 2.4lt engine.
Compared to the TRX, 2.4lt engine with manual 7-8 Lt/100km.

Smiley well in fact i have a 4wd
a toyota landcruiser 1995 model 1hzj75 with turbo add on...
i get between 11/12--per 100kms out of a 80 litre tank hwy
about 13-14/100 city

4.2litre diesel  11 seat troopy....5 speed

and i have a vt commodore 2000 model auto ..that gets about 1000kms to 1100km hwy driving from its tank....and about 650-750 city a tank....
from that 3.8 v6 series 1...tank is 75 litres

so the pintara has to hold its own compared to othe other cars in the stable Smiley
