Hi all
Have a 1994 u13 sr20det auto, holds through the gears slow to change, and looses top gear if driving it, back off accelerator and it drops into 4th but kicks back to 3rd as soon as you touch accelerator, gearbox has been rebuilt with shift kit fitted, seems to be electrical anyone have any ideas, transmission guy said the gearbox is fine have to locate electrical fault

whats codes was the box throwing that made the gearbox guy say its fine?
Did he even scan it?
Shift kits are notorious for playing havock with the ecu, pressures are all wrong and ecu tries to adjust...

If it hasn't worked since the transmission guy 'fixed' it then it's his problem.

Check the "Power/Hold" button located just behind the handbrake on the centre console.  It might be set to Hold.  This button tells the gearbox how to change gears through electronics.
