hey guys, new here
brought a 1990 trx, all is well love the car, the only small probably is to get it registered vicroads needs to see the engine number, sadly the engine number has been hidden because to the exhaust manifold covers it, i was wondering if there a manifold u can buy that doesnt "cover" the whole front of the block or can the current one be cut so it shows.
would appreciate any feedback,
thanks for your time

You can see the engine number no problem. I have a stock exhaust mani and heat shield on my daily trx; vicroads had no problem seeing it when i got it registered back mid last year. You just might need to clean up the plate that has the engine no stamped on it.

Btw, if it has turbo gear on it, i'd swap it back to NA before vicroads look at it.

yeah my bad i believe the manifold isn't stock, hence it covers the whole front (where the mani is bolted to the block). kinda hard for me to explain lol

It's custom, looks like an old member's manifold.

lol...yeah, i thought it was bung's old trx.

where abouts are you located? wouldn't mind having a look at the car, hopefully the guy you bought it off fixed up most of the crap that bungs did (notably the tune in the ecu...)

wants to buy the details of what "bung" did to it Sad, runs fine, had to take the bov off when it went 2 get registered, noticed the pointer on the speed dial bounces when u go over big bumps, pulls to the left abit, apart from that, its like super good on fuel, did a 200k ish trip, used 1/8 of the tank, got it running on that 98 stuff that "cleans ur engine when ur driving" lol
