Hi everyone..i'm a newbi...great site with stacks of info for a new bluebird sss attesa owner. We are learning heaps about our car  just by reading the posts  Grin
We had trouble finding any info on this import for months after buying it and managed to get onto the original importer...'Peralux' or RaJ Imports...in Brisbane. He said he only imported 25 of ea model 91-93 and 94/95's. He said there aren't many left on the road now, yet reading posts in this site there seems to be more then thought.  Mine is an '94 auto. I live in Nth Qld and unfortunately there is little knowledge of these cars here which makes it difficult to rectify or fine-tune any problems. Not knowing to much about it...but we're learning!  Roll Eyes...it's great to find so many other passionate U13 lovers with a wealth of information for us to source from.  It sounds as though turbo lag seems to be a common thing with this car? We just thought it may have needed a good knowing mechanic. The car came with no history and has a few modifications but basically its still standard it seems after viewing pictures of the same on the net.  Will enjoy chatting with u all and learning lots more about our car.

Firstly, welcome mate!

You'll find this site probabaly has the most information on the U12 and U13 ATTESA outside of Japan/Thailand/Malaysia.

The U13 ATTESA's (HNU13's) are alot more commonly found in Australia than the U12 ATTESA, but share many similarities.

Regarding turbo 'lag', if your car is running the stock T25G turbo on a black-top SR20DET (is you HNU13 a series II?) then lag should not be all that bad.

Does your car have any factory options? Sunroof, airbag, heads up display?

Anyway, don't be afraid to start a new thread about your car and show us all some pics, etc etc

Enjoy antrx Smiley

Welcome!

Allways good to see new attesa owners Smiley

As budgie said turbo lag shouldn't really be a big problem... full boost just before 3000rpm is the norm with the t25. Also the automatic box will be chewing away a reasonable portion of the power between the engine and the wheels Sad

Anyway, any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks Budgie n JelloBello (and anyone i may have missed while learning to navigate the site) for responses. Not sure if it's a seriesI or II. I tried to post pictures but i wasn't allowed to. i guess maybe i haven't been a member long enough yet to allow this. Will try again another time.
No it has no sunroof, airbags or heads up display. Has the venetian blind grill. Yes you're right, it does reach full boost@3000rpm.  It has a gismo and seems to run best on 2 or 3. On 1 it chokes down a bit. On 4 it loses boost at high speed then picks up again. We plan to dyno it at some stage to find out exactly what engine work has been done etc. I apologise for my lack of car knowledge..i am female and still learning the HNU13 jargon. I will post more details if u like, in my next post.  Smiley

I think lord nosso may've put something in place to stop people with less then 10 posts from linking, as there was a slight influx of bots trying to get us all to buy viagra and the like Tongue

Hey people
I've noticed u talking about Whiteline suspension.  Don't quite know what that is but when i get to post the photos you'll notice the car has lowered suspension. My car rides very hard (rigid). My partner has put it into a full 4wheel drift with no body roll at all. The car has been up on a hoist for a tyre rotation and the mechanic said "suspension...what suspension?" and commented about the size of the front anti roll bar (approx 25ml dia).  Are all Attesa's fitted with same? From all the information we've read my model car has soft suspension, yet there is no sway in mine and it hates any bumps, but rides well on the highway. What questions would i need to ask a suspension mechanic to find out what has been modified as the car is so low that most drive-ways scrape the intercooler and rear of car. Also there are four mags the same, yet one rear has a larger spiggot diameter, so the tyres couldn't be rotated front to back...weird! Any ideas?

are the springs yellow or blue or perhaps another? , are the u13 suspensions adjustable, similar to the u12?

still trying to post car photos, but no go yet  Sad ....oh well, will just keep posting until the drought is broken. Better to have visuals for any future questions i'm wishing to ask advice on.  Does anyone have the headlight perspex protectors for a '94 HNU13 for sale, or know where i can buy them?  Mine are crazed and yellow.

Best bet would be to get a set of aussie headlights, as they're glass and don't go yellow on you!

Depo also make aftermarket headlights for the u13 altima (have a search on ebay).
