the great quest to find replacement suspension continues. has anyone have any new info on replacement struts?

the only solution i have come up with is with D2 coilovers. they have 2 types, the normal ($1500) and the inverted ($1800). the inverted models are suppose to be 'stronger' thats as the most technical information i could extract from them when i sent an email. their website isnt much help either.

Bullion (member on the forums) currently have these installed. if you are reading this could you give us some feedback on how you find their build quality and driveability?

also another question, if these d2 coilovers were made for the aus bluebird U13 but still fit the jdm cars with no mods, does that mean normal shocks will fit onto the jdm cars?

what are you looking for exactly? a complete suspension upgrade or just to replace your struts with different ones.

D2's are the way to go in the end, but they come at a price $$$ and a bit of fiddling to set them up right. ie. camber/castor, valving & height adjustment.

otherwise go the cheaper alternative and get some lowered coils and struts. ive got lovells sports low and pedders comfort gas struts and they seem to do a good job. i don't circuit race or anything but it is an improvement over original equip. the comfort gas struts are valved about 20% stronger than the original struts, thats what our work shock dyno tested them at.

i have tried to fit the jdm spec front struts and they are slightly different to the attesa. the rear i believe are the same.

yep complete spring/strut setup. so did you get the pedders struts that are for the adm bluebird?

also does anyone know what other cars have similar suspension setups? pulsars? gtir? just wondering if there is something and get custom suspension so it opens up for choices..

Hey can anybody out there confirm if ADM U13 front shocks will fit the JDM front shocks on a U13 Attesa?  I've been hunting for shocks and ADM is all I can find through various suppliers.

Just had the Tokico's, low King Springs and Whiteline fixed rear sway bar fitted.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

The old girl (U13 Attesa) corners like she's on rails now.  The only problem is that I now notice more how shitty Parramatta Rd is.  The price you pay I guess.

I highly recommend this setup. Picked up everything on ebay - US & Aust. Total of $1,060 all up inc fitting. Note: bought the shocks when the Aussie dollar was good.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but best keep all the info in one spot.

Anyone heard of this BC Crowd selling coilovers on ebay?

I hadn't really heard of them, but i've had a bit of a read and they seem to be quite decent. Better anyway then the offering from d2/g4/ksport.

I've put on my list for when I get some spare cash! Hard to go wrong for the price.

Dozer if you had a choice of BC's or D2's and given there's not too many other choices for the HNU13's what would you go for?

I've heard D2's are good street driven, but on the track they're go to shit after a few months,
given theres not many options with the bluebird, some people are just going to have to bite the bullet and try them out. then let everyone else know Smiley

I'm currently installing the tokico shocks and they've got a good reputation. so we'll see how they handle the track.

d2's
and if you are track bound mostly with slick like tyres get stiffer springs.

So i'm guessing the GTiR coilovers won't fit into the ATTESSA right?

Pity, was looking at getting set of JIC's

Not sure if this will help but my U13 'bird has the full whiteline kit on it and from memory the shocks were all KYB. Not sure about part numbers though because whiteline no longer does the shocks side of things...

Good luck Smiley
